Carnegie New Leaders Program (CNL)
|
|
The Carnegie New Leaders (CNL) Program provides you, as a member of the next generation of leaders, with a deeper appreciation of ethics in international affairs, through a series of formal and informal discussions.
While fostering moral leadership, the program offers promising young professionals invaluable opportunities to meet and discuss timely issues with foreign policy experts, business professionals, social innovators, scholars, and peers.
As a CNL, your benefits will include:
- Participation in exclusive CNL events
- Opportunity to participate in the planning of future CNL programming
- Candidacy for Carnegie Council Honorary Trusteeship
- Acknowledgement of membership on Carnegie Council's website
- Exceptional networking opportunities
- Carnegie Council's quarterly Bulletin and bi-monthly eNewsletter
- 20 percent discount on Ethics & International Affairs Journal subscription
- Opportunity to upgrade CNL membership and receive Public Affairs Program Subscriber benefits. For more information, please contact Stefanie Ambrosio at 212-838-4120.
The CNL Program is organized around the Council's three themes: Ethics,
War, and Peace; Global Social
Justice; and Religion in Politics.
Individual sessions investigate questions such as:
- What is the role of the developed world in alleviating poverty globally?
- Is democracy promotion a sound reason to go to war?
- To whom are businesses accountable?
You will attend events ranging from formal panels, to intimate round-table discussions
with leaders in international affairs, business, and academia, to social outings.
You will have the opportunity to suggest speakers or topics, and to help coordinate
events.
