Justice and the World Economy (2000-2003)

The Justice and the World Economy program provided resources and an inter-professional and interdisciplinary forum for discussions concerning the justice of global institutional arrangements, such as capital and labor markets, international fiscal, labor, and property law, and the international financial and trading regimes.

Program Components
• Achieving Global Justice series (events and a series of publications that explore imaginative new proposals for global institutional reform)
• Events & Conferences
• Networking/ Resources Achieving global justice

The program sought to engage with and support the work of scholars and practicioners. It supported the work of a Carnegie Council fellow, Uché Ewelukwa.

JWE also supported a project on poverty assessment spearheaded by Professor Sanjay Reddy of Barnard College and Professor Thomas Pogge of Columbia University.
