Thomas M. Nichols
Thomas M. Nichols is Chairman of the Department of Strategy and Policy at the United States Naval War College, where he also holds the Forrest Sherman Chair of Public Diplomacy. He holds a PhD from Georgetown University, and the Certificate of the Harriman Institute for Advanced Study of the Soviet Union at Columbia University. He previously taught international relations and government at Georgetown University and Dartmouth College, and taught as a Secretary of the Navy Fellow at the Naval War College. He has served as an aide in the United States Senate, and was a Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.
