Steve Dorst
Steve Dorst is the founder and president of Dorst MediaWorks, a film and video production studio based in Washington, D.C.

As a director, he completed his first feature documentary film in 2007, Volcanic Sprint, which documents a grueling mountain race in Cameroon. The film is currently playing around the world in film festivals. Dorst is currently producing two other documentary films, Koppo and Lady B, an identity tale told through the optic of two young rappers in Africa, and Rebirth of Over-the-Rhine, which chronicles urban renewal in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dorst has directed and produced numerous award-winning short films for commercial, nongovernmental, and nonprofit clients. He earned a Master's degree in Economics and African Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. His blog, Foreign Affairs and Documentary, recounts his experiences in non-fiction film.
