Stephen M. Gardiner is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Washington, Seattle. Previously he was Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Utah, and before that was on the faculty at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
His primary interests are ethics, political philosophy, and environmental ethics. He has previously published in Philosophy & Public Affairs, the Monist, and Oxford Studies in Ancient Philosophy. Most recently he has been working on ethics and global environmental problems.
