Rune Jansen Hagen is Researcher at the Institute for Research in Economics and Business Administration in Bergen, Norway.

His research interests are in the fields of development economics, international economics, and political economy.

He has published essays on foreign aid in the Journal of Development Economics and the Review of Development Economics. He is presently heading the project “Responsibility for Sovereign Debt: Theory and Empirical Investigations,” financed by the Research Council of Norway.
