Rhonda Copelon

Rhonda Copelon is a Professor of Law and Director of the International Women’s Human Rights Law Clinic of the City University of New York. The Clinic has had a profound impact on the recognition of women’s human rights in the international, regional, and U.S. contexts, particularly in establishing rape and other gender crimes as war crimes and crimes against humanity. She is also a founding board member of and legal advisor to the Women’s Caucus for Gender Justice, now Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice.
