Philip J. Cafaro

Philip J. Cafaro
Philip Cafaro is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Colorado State University.

A former ranger with the U.S. National Park Service, his interests include environmental ethics, ethical theory, and wild lands preservation.

He is the author of Thoreau's Living Ethics: Walden and the Pursuit of Virtue (2004) and coeditor with Ronald Sandler of the anthology Environmental Virtue Ethics (2005). He has published articles in the Journal of Social Philosophy, Environmental Ethics, Philosophy Today, and BioScience.
