Philip Bobbitt

Philip Bobbitt
Philip Bobbitt is a Herbert Wechsler Professor of Jurisprudence at Columbia University. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law at the University of Texas, and was a Senior Director on the National Security Council during the Clinton Administration.

One of the nation's leading constitutional theorists, Bobbitt's interests include not only constitutional law but also international security and the history of strategy.

His books include The Shield of Achilles: War, Peace and the Course of History (2003) and Terror and Consent: the Wars for the Twenty-first Century (2008).
