Olivier Roy is a professor at EHESS, the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences in Paris. Among his books are The Failure of Political Islam, The New Central Asia, and Islamist Networks: The Afghan-Pakistan Connection (with Mariam Abou Zahab).
