Keith Banting holds the Queen's Research Chair in Public Policy at Queen's University, Canada. His research focuses on the politics of public policy, especially social policy, and he is the author of Poverty, Politics, and Policy: Britain in the 1960s (1979) and The Welfare State and Canadian Federalism (1987). His current work focuses on ethnic diversity, diversity multiculturalism, and the welfare state.
