Joshua Eisenman

Joshua Eisenman is a Ph.D. candidate at UCLA, a Fellow in Asia Studies at the American Foreign Policy Council (AFPC), in Washington, D.C. and co-editor of China and the Developing World: Beijing's Strategy for the Twenty-first Century (ME Sharpe 2007).

He received his MA from the China studies department at Johns Hopkins University's Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies and speaks Mandarin Chinese. Prior to joining the AFPC, Mr. Eisenman worked for two and a half years as a professional policy analyst on the staff of the Congressionally mandated U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.

Since 2002, he has written over two dozen articles on China's domestic development and foreign policy for a variety of publications including The Far Eastern Economic Review, Current History, The Asian Wall Street Journal, The Baltimore Sun, and Newsday.
