Joseph S. Nye

Joseph S. Nye Jr., University Distinguished Service Professor, is also the Sultan of Oman Professor of International Relations and former Dean of the Kennedy School.

Nye served as assistant secretary of defense under President Clinton. His books include Bound to Lead (1990), The Paradox of American Power (2001), and Soft Power: The Means to Success in World Politics (2004).
