John W. Dietrich is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Bryant University. He has published The George W. Bush Foreign Policy Reader: Presidential Speeches with Commentary (2005), and articles on U.S. foreign policy and human rights policy in Presidential Studies Quarterly, Human Rights Quarterly, and Political Science Quarterly.
He is particularly interested in how humanitarian policies are shaped by a mix of moral ideals and political realities.
