Elizabeth R. DeSombre is Frost Associate Professor of Environmental Studies and Associate Professor of Political Science at Wellesley College. Her first book, Domestic Sources of International Environmental Policy: Industry, Environmentalists, and U.S. Power (2000) won the 2001 Chadwick F. Alger Prize for the best book published on environmental policy. Her second book is The Global Environment and World Politics (2002).
She also has a forthcoming book on Global Environmental Institutions (Routledge Press) and another entitled Flagging Standards: Globalization and International Environmental, Safety, and Labor Regulations at Sea. She has published a wide variety of articles and book chapters and served on numerous committees in the profession, and currently serves as the Book Review Editor for the journal Global Environmental Politics.
