Donald Eastman

 
     
 

Donald R. Eastman III is president of Eckerd College. He was Vice President for Strategic Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Georgia from 1998 to 2001. From 1972 to 1975, he was Executive Director of the Florida Endowment for the Humanities (the Florida Division of the National Endowment for the Humanities' State Program). He has published articles in Chronicle of Higher Education, Southern Humanities Review, International Education, Atlanta Journal/Constitution, The Wall Street Journal , The St. Petersburg Times, and The Tampa Tribune. He has a B.A. from the University of Tennessee and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Florida.
