Dan Rather is the Global Correspondent, HDNet, and was anchor and managing editor for CBS Evening News from 1981 to 2005. Before retiring from the network in June 2006, he also worked briefly as a correspondent for 60 Minutes.
A legendary name in U.S. broadcast journalism, Rather is the recipient of numerous Emmy Awards, several Peabody Awards, and various honorary degrees from universities.
