Dambisa Moyo

Dambisa Moyo
Dambisa Moyo is a Sub-Saharan Africa economic specialist and was Head of Economic Research and Strategy for Goldman Sachs, where she had worked for the past eight years.

From May 1993 to September 1995, Moyo worked at the World Bank in Washington D.C., as a co-author to its annual World Development Report. 

Moyo is a member of Cambridge University's Centre for International Business and Management (CIBAM), and the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House). She is also a Patron for Absolute Return for Kids (ARK), a hedge fund supported children's charity, and serves on the Board of the Lundin Charitable Foundation, which in September 2007, pledged U.S. $100 million towards microfinance initiatives in developing economies. 

Moyo completed a PhD in Economics at Oxford University and holds a Masters from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
