Alison M. S. Watson

Alison M. S. Watson is a Senior Lecturer in, and Head of the School of, International Relations, at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Her primary research interest lies in examining the place of children within the international system, and how their incorporation into the IR discourse may change the questions raised within the discipline itself, as well as in its sub-fields.

Alongside her work on children in the international political economy, and on children and conflict, she is currently researching issues surrounding the recruitment of children to terrorist campaigns, photographic representations of childhood, and the place of children in post-conflict societies.
