Alison M. Jaggar is Professor of Philosophy and Women's Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She works in moral and political philosophy, with an emphasis on feminist philosophy. Her books include Feminist Frameworks (co-edited with Paula Rothenberg, 1993); Feminist Politics and Human Nature (1983); Living with Contradictions: Controversies in Feminist Ethics (1994); and The Blackwell Companion to Feminist Philosophy (co-edited with Iris M. Young, 1998). At present, her main interests are in moral reasoning, especially in contexts of inequality and cultural difference, and in the gendered aspects of global justice theory.
