Jonathan E. Colby is Managing Director at the Carlyle Group in Washington, D.C.
Prior to this he was Senior Managing Director at Equinox Management Services in New York and a member of the Board of Directors of Equinox Group Holdings Ltd.; General Partner of the Blackstone Group, where he was responsible for the firm's financial advisory business in Asia, initially in Tokyo and then Hong Kong; from 1980 to 1989 he was head of Asian M & A The First Boston Corporation; and Resident Senior Attorney in the Singapore office of Coudert Brothers 1979-80.
Mr. Colby also served in the Nixon Administration as Staff Assistant (Foreign Affairs) on the National Security Council under the direction of Henry A. Kissinger. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
