EDITOR'S NOTE

Carnegie Council - Podcasts Launched in mid-August, our new website has now been up for six months and we have noticed some interesting developments during that period. Overall web traffic continues to increase month by month, but the greatest rise is in audio podcast downloads. These have more than doubled, and are attracting a whole new audience.

Our statistics indicate that in general, the majority of our visitors use podcasts (and videos when available) to keep abreast of our most recent events, and draw on our transcripts and articles as a timeless reference library. Thus many of our most popular print items this month date from a few years back, and publications such as the magazine Human Rights Dialogue (1994-2005) are still frequently referred to.

What are you looking for when you consult our site? What would you like to see more of? As always, we would love to hear from you. Contact mlynn@cceia.org

ANNOUNCEMENTS

We are pleased to announce that Marcus Roberts, formerly Associate for Council Advancement, has been appointed Director of Development. This marks the establishment of a Development Office, a project that Marcus has been working since last spring together with the Council's staff and Board of Trustees.

We have ambitious plans to reach a larger audience, which include expanding our WATCH, READ, AND LISTEN initiative, offering our events as streaming video and audio, as well as podcasts and transcripts. The Development Office will help us obtain the necessary funds to achieve these goals.
