Media/Marketing Intern - Spring

Description

The Carnegie Ethics Studio seeks a part-time intern. Thanks to the rapid expansion and advances of communications technology, it is now possible for the Carnegie Council to speak with a global voice. The Carnegie Ethics Studio leverages new technologies in service of the enduring values that have guided the Council. Over 50 events each year are filmed and audio-recorded. The Studio edits all of these programs in-house and makes them available for online distribution. The Studio also produces additional original content, such as interviews and the Global Ethics Corner weekly series.

Projects may include, but will not be limited to:

  • Assisting in post-production of video programs by researching and recommending photos
  • Assisting in marketing efforts by identifying and contacting prospective media outlets
  • Administrative duties (e.g., maintaining photo records, printing and packaging media for distribution, et cetera)
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Superb attention to detail, organization skills, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access
  • Strong internet research skills
  • Ability to work in groups as well as independently see projects to completion
  • Strong communication skills, particularly strong writing ability
  • Strong interest in international affairs, political science, media, communications, or related areas.
  • Familiarity with Macs
  • Marketing experience is a plus

Terms and Conditions: This is an unpaid internship. School credit can be arranged and a transportation stipend of $15 a day will be provided. We require a minimum commitment of 15 hours a week during the spring semester.
