Carnegie Council

The Global Ethics Network seeks a part-time intern. The goal of the network is to establish partnerships with educational institutions around the world and to engage in non-partisan, interactive education about global issues. Network programs include lesson plans, faculty development programs, class activities, videoconferences, and joint lectures.

Projects may include, but will not be limited to:

• Assisting with the development of the Network through outreach to educators and institutions
  
• Tracking correspondence with existing and potential educational partners
  
• Coordination of educational materials and events, including gathering materials for publication with specific focus on case studies and lesson plans
  
• Researching potential partners whose priorities match the Network's mission
  
• Administrative support and general departmental support, including faxing, filing, photocopying, data-entry, and other clerical tasks
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

• Superb attention-to-detail, organization skills, and multi-tasking abilities
  
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access
  
• Familiarity with internet research and e-mail services
  
• Ability to work in groups as well as independently see projects to completion
  
• Strong communication skills, particularly strong writing ability
  
• Strong interest in international relations, political science, and education a plus

Terms and Conditions: This is an unpaid internship. School credit can be arranged and a transportation stipend of $15 a day will be provided. We require a minimum commitment of 15 hours a week during the spring semester.
