The Carnegie Council is pleased to announce a grant from Booz & Company and its magazine "strategy+business," funding the Carnegie Ethics Studio, a new-media venture.
With support from the Richard Lounsbery Foundation, the Council is partnering with Dancing Ink Productions LLC to launch a project called "Understanding Islam through Virtual Worlds."
As Senior Fellow and Senior Program Director, Dr. William C. Vocke is responsible for developing new partnerships and educational materials for the Carnegie Ethics Studio project.
The Carnegie Council is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Carnegie Corporation to feature the Corporation's Carnegie Scholars in the Council's Public Affairs Program.
TheĀ CouncilĀ announces grants from Smith Richardson Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation, and Stony Brook University to co-fund the long-running Foreign Policy Roundtable. They complement support for the Roundtable received last year from the Richard Lounsbery Foundation.
The purpose of the Carnegie-Uehiro Fellowship program is to promote the study and teaching of ethics and international affairs. Fellows will conduct their own research and conduct outreach programs for the Council's worldwide audiences.
The Carnegie Council is delighted to announce the results of the 2007 Graphics Competition.

In this important volume edited by Christian Barry, Barry Herman, and Lydia Tomitova, philosophers, theologians, lawyers, and economists examine questions related to how to deal fairly with the over-indebted governments of developing countries.
The Carnegie Council has teamed up with a group of partners to create the Ethical Blog Project. Its blog, The Ethical Blogger, clearly meets a need. Launched only five weeks ago, it is already reaching a wide audience and Google has named it a "blog of note."

How does a society deal with a violent past? This question is answered in the
edited volume "Teaching the Violent Past", which examines the politics of how history is taught and the making of national
identities and national memories following a conflict within a society.
The fellowship's goal is to bring together academic scholars and teachers with senior career military officers, civil servants, and others to collaborate on strengthening public understanding of the ethics of war and peace, ethics and the military profession, and the relationship of ethics and character to the development of effective leadership in a variety of professions and institutional settings.

Global Policy Innovations presents Workshops for Ethics in Business (WEB). WEB is a one-of-a-kind forum that brings together top corporations and NGOs in a civilized setting to share innovative ideas for addressing ethical issues related to globalization.
Applicants are invited to submit designs on the Council's three themes: Ethics, War, and Peace; Global Social Justice; and Religion in Politics. Prizes of $500. The deadline is November 9, 2007.
